The journey of Renata França, a woman from Bahia, is truly admirable. From a young age, she dreamed of becoming a journalist until one day, while helping her mother in the small beauty salon set up at home, she discovered her talent - working in the beauty industry. With a lot of struggle and determination, she overcame each of the obstacles, paradigms, and prejudices that came her way. And she went further: she created the famous Miracle Touch, the first component of her own method, recognized internationally. A success story, an example of professionalism, and a woman of strength. Your story is similar to many who come from a humble family. What was Renata from Ilhéus, who dreamed big, like? Ah, I really dreamed big. From a very young age, I wanted to be a presenter on Fantástico, and my eyes would light up when the program's intro started to play. That's why I started helping my mother in the beauty salon she set up at home, to save money and apply for journalism school. Life had other plans for me, but I always dreamed big. It seems like a lady recognized your talent and gave you a chance. Was that the push you needed? Yes, this lady worked at a renowned French spa, and I remember, as if it were today, when she praised the touch of my hands while I was washing her hair. I was surprised when they asked me if I would like to work with massage. I hesitated a bit to answer... But that push you mentioned in the question came from the dream of doing journalism. Little did I know that I would fall in love with massage shortly after! Was moving to São Paulo scary for you? How old were you, and how was your start in the metropolis? I was 22 years old when I decided to try my luck in São Paulo. I arrived at the Tietê Terminal after a two-day bus journey, with my sister Temilla and 157 reais in my pocket. We were received by an uncle and started living in a room of a music school. Those were difficult days, full of hardships. We slept on the floor, on a duvet, and warmed ourselves with a hairdryer in a year of very low temperatures - especially for someone from Ilhéus, a city where it's 40 degrees in the shade. This phase required a lot of willpower, persistence, and resilience. But we never thought about giving up. We knew God was with us, despite the difficulties. When did you feel you could offer something different from traditional aesthetic methods? Actually, the delay that conventional aesthetic treatments took to show results - about 10 sessions - was something that troubled me a lot. After a few years of experience in massage, I already knew what really worked. And it was by combining my expertise as a masseuse and dedication to studies in anatomy and physiology that I developed my massage method. My technique is considered revolutionary because it allows for results from the first session. In the first few minutes, actually. That's really incredible! What are the other differentiators of your method compared to others? There are several factors. My method has a rhythm, pumping, and sliding completely different from conventional ones. Moreover, the pressure I apply is firmer, vehemently contradicting what the market has always preached. And these differentiators apply to all my six protocols, from Lymphatic Drainage to Miracle Touch, considered the most famous. Was serving Taís Araújo your second career boost? I had a full schedule of clients, and I served Taís for the first time at 5 in the morning, as it was the only available slot. I remember that at the time, she was going to be on the cover of a magazine and was impressed with the result of my massage. According to her, I had performed a "miracle"! That was a great gift for me. And of course, that was the birth of my love and affection for her, something I carry to this day. It was a lifelong meeting.
