Hi, everyone! We're halfway through the year! And even though the past few months have been filled with uncertainties, as I dedicate these lines to communicate with you, it's possible to glimpse a light on the horizon, bringing that wonderful hope that better days are ahead!
In this edition, I talk a bit about the fruits harvested during this period and the good things that happened even amidst quarantine.
And I hope that by reading my column, you feel as hopeful as I do. After all, there's no doubt that life is the most wonderful of experiences. And, with life, we can go very far! So, come with me.
A feeling widely shared by people on social media during confinement was about the certainty that nothing in this world is more important than health!
Nothing! And this conclusion is the result of a reflection that didn't come alone but was very well accompanied by changes in values that have led many of us to change the way we live and to value what really has value. This shows that the "new normal" can and should come in the form of more conscious consumption, that a moment dedicated to meditation makes a big difference in my routine, and that caring for others changes not just my day and theirs, but community life. This is simply wonderful! Now, where does massage fit into these changes that are starting to emerge?
I tell you: massage is health and is intimately linked to quality of life!
For this reason, the sum of these changes is very positive for us, massage therapists, we bring health and well-being to people! And how motivating it is to know that much work awaits us! In countries like France and Italy, for example, my instructors are fully booked, as even those who were not fans of massage have started to seek it. Isn't that great? I dare say, without ceremony, that the same will happen in Brazil! My wish is that by the time you are reading this, it will already be a fact!
Introduction to Massage Therapy Course

How Are Your Nights of Sleep?
I ask this question because many have been working tirelessly without perhaps having returned to the exercise routine that helps sleep better! Therefore, I've separated three tips that bring well-being before sleeping. The first starts in the shower. While you're soaping up, make light movements, starting from the extremities and moving towards the center. How do I do this? On the upper part, start with the hands and go up the arms, soaping towards the chest. On the lower part, start with the feet and go towards the groin.
Always from bottom to top. This will bring a sensation of lightness to your body because, in fact, you're contributing to the real direction of the blood and lymphatic flows. The second step is very simple and is about the way to dry off, which should also be from the extremities to the center. And the last tip is to do a self-massage before going to sleep, the Automiracle! So, start by pressing, three times, the cavities of the supraclavicular fossa, the famous collarbone area. Then, follow the same path, using your favorite moisturizer all over your body, always moving from bottom to top, and from the extremities to the center!
